Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kansas.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Fun place to visit with family, they have fun little games for everyone to enjoy and a wonderful selection of pumpkins that you get to pick for yourself while walking through the fields. They are very friendly and their prices are reasonable. They have all shapes, colors and sizes from tiny, to enormous pumpkins. They even have a trebuchet and launch pumpkins for fun, it was really neat to watch. You won't regret the trip. They only accept cash and checks, as far as I know, so be prepared.”

“For the past 6 or 7 years we make this place an annual ritual in our RV. A group of 20 of us travel here from Dodge City and the staff at the Pumpkin Paradise patch treats us like royalty. The kids have a blast picking out their pumpkins, walking through the mazes and riding on the hay-rack ride. They get excited weeks prior and start counting down the days. I would suggest this excursion to anyone with kids as a pre-Halloween adventure. Be prepared to spend a few hours - lots to do here.”

“My little family and I have been enjoying this pumpkin patch for the last 6years now and we love supporting our local farmers, with that being said we are devastated that covid has taken this tradition away from us this year but we will be there as soon as y'all reopen next year. We can hold off to enjoy a pumpkin patch till you guys reopen because it wouldn't be the same anywhere else, Thank you🎃🧡”

“Had a good time with kiddo and prices were half the price than the places you can get pumpkins in garden city”

“Sort of pricy, but the kids had fun. Picking out your own pumpkin is a good time. There is a maze, hayrides, pumpkin chunker, and other smaller activities. A couple hours of entertainment.”

“Lots of family fun. We'll return again next year.”

“This place does not accept any form of electronic payment. They claim because there is no reception even though i had 4G wireless. They also could have gotten Starlink, fiberoptic, or a mobile hotspot to remedy this. It's not cool, wasting an hour in the car to be turned away because of this avoidable situation. Also its $6 per person. It should be free to kids under 16. That gets expensive with little ones who just want to pick out a pumpkin and could care less about all the "activities".”
