Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

7 reviews on file · showing 4 visitor notes from the listing data.

“Had a blast today at Surratt Orchards. The Surratt family are great! Everyone greets you with a smile, ask if you need anything, and made it the most pleasurable environment for our family! Hay rides, venders, pumpkins, races on inflatables, face painting, food, and even apple launching! Had a blast, well worth the drive from Concord. We will be back for sure! Thank you to everyone at Surratt Orchards!”

“We went to Surratt Orchards after my boyfriend found them on Google. We didn’t want to buy a tree this year from a big box store and wanted to support local. We were met with a friendly family and GORGEOUS Trees. Great pricing too. We can’t wait to come back for future holidays!”

“An awesome little gem. Went for cherries and found that they also had ice cream, and a couple other treats. They are a warm and welcoming family.”

“Their blueberries are amazing! Got a small pack and couldn't stop eating them. Now I wish I had gotten more.”
