Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Maryland.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Came here to pick apples and it will be my new go-to spot now. Plenty of parking, big selection of a variety of different apples, and lots of picnic table seating in the front near the food truck and cashier. Three tiers of pricing: 1/2 peck (5-6 lbs) for $20, 1 peck (11-12 lbs) for $30, or 1/2 bushel (20-25 lbs) for $50 and you fill up the plastic bags they give you. Pricing subject to change in the future but that’s what it was when I went. There were a few apple picking sticks available to use but get there early because there is not be enough for everyone. It was a great experience!”

“This place is amazing for apple picking especially for those with little kids! They have rows and rows and rows of trees with apples that hang very low so kids can pick them all by themselves. The cidery tables next to the orchard are perfect for families who want to bring a picnic and eat in the shade. They also have charcuterie trays for purchase as well as sweet and hard ciders. FYI only port-a-potties and less good for strollers, bring your baby carriers! Love this place! Def coming back!”

“First time ever visiting an orchard and wow, this one is gonna be hard to beat. The apples were DELICIOUS (we got cameo, joy, winecrisp, and enterprise). The atmosphere was perfect. Plenty of picnic tables to enjoy their ciders! The hard cider was very tasty too! Couldn't have asked for anything more. Such a fun excursion.”

“This is definitely a place that you must visit… at least once. There’s all kind of apples, pumpkins and way more. You can easily spend a whole day over there… COVID: the place is so big that there’s little to no crowd at the same exact place, so you would definitely feel safe.”

“It’s a drive, but it was so fun picking my own apples! I liked that I could sample the apples while picking them to see which ones I liked. I was honestly surprised by which apples I ended up liking. I got a ton of apples for a great price AND they’re delicious!”

“Delicious self picked apples of many varieties. So sweet and crunchy and delicious. They even let you sample them all for free. Well maintained orchard.”

“The apples are delicious! The sunflower were so pretty and the cider was yummy!”

“It would be 5 stars minus the bees and apples are all over the walk paths. People can sprain their ankles stepping on apples. I have seen grown adults throwing apples and being careless to the orchard. I wish I could of gotten some wine crisp apples. They were all gone and their was a sign for it. False advertising. I also wanted some pink lady cider that was gone as well. Overall, apples were so good and delicious. I made breakfast with fried apple rings and fried apples.”
