Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Oregon.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“Thomas Orchards has quality produce at very reasonable prices. They sell by the pound or by the box - whatever you need. Plus they feature other local producers of honey, blueberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, etc. And handmade soaps and lotions, and dried fruits. It's a real treat to visit the Orchards.”

“We visited this orchard last peach season. We were able to pick our own peaches and they provided all the tools to be able to so. The peaches were mouth wateringly delicious! The best part of our day was seeing a bear cub on our way home just outside of the orchard.”

“Wonderful orchard. Best is to pick your own fruit 🍑. If someone can climb a ladder which are provided.Fruit is best at the top of the trees. They also sell wonderful honey. Also have fruit already picked but love to pick our own”

“Fresh seasonal fruits, sweet and delicious. Buy what has been picked or pick your own! Right now its plumcuats, apricots and cherries! Also honey! ..... It's a must stop!!!”

“Been loving the 🍑 fruit @ Thomas Orchards since I was a little kid. Going with my grandparents to stock up on fruit to can & freeze for the winter months.”

“Delicious fruits!! Fun oasis in the high desert.”

“We recently bought 2 boxes of peaches from Thomas Orchard, one of #2s and one of number ones. The number 2s were pretty much as expected. The number ones looked good on the top row except for two were wormy, but under the top layer they had hidden the junk. Most were worse then the number 2s, some were not much bigger then a chicken eg and all were wormy. We have purchased fruit from Tomas Orchard's since the mid 60s and have always been satisficed with the quality, You can bet we will never buy fruit again. We recommend looking under the top layer if you buy fruit.”

“Very disappointed. As of this year, they no longer offer U-pick, which was a big reason we visited. The cherries we purchased from the stand were poor quality, and some even tasted moldy. The staff at the stand were unfriendly and didn't seem interested in helping customers. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. My family and I have visited this orchard many times before and have always enjoyed my experience.”
