Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We've made Treinen Farm an annual family tradition going back to 2019. It's such a fun day. Our kids are now teenagers and they've been bringing a friend with the last couple of years. All of them enjoy the food, games, mining, the hay loft, slides, tunnels, and, of course, the maze. We travel a couple of hours so we make it a complete day experience. First, when we arrive we'll spend at least an hour or more playing games, visiting the animals, or doing the hike that offers an amazing autumn view over the farm. Then we try to get something to eat before tackling the maze. This year our trip landed on a Friday so we packed a picnic lunch and ate in the parking lot. The farm does have vendor-type food on busier days (we've eaten here before and weren't disappointed). There are also plenty of tables to sit at. The maze is the main attraction and the Treinen's have made the experience worth every dollar of admittance. At the start of the maze a video plays that gives new attendees a rundown of what to do. There is a semi-blank map that you will add to as you progress through the maze. There are also "secret" posts throughout that can earn you prizes at the front desk (nothing to crazy expensive but cool for kids & bragging rights). After finding your way out of the main maze, there is a "Maze within the Maze." This segment doesn't have a map and I always try my best to draw out the path as we go (of course there is a way to cheat but where is the fun in that!? And I'm not going to share the cheat either). Inside the maze within the Maze there are posts that contain a special message/numbers/letters. It's your job to find all the posts then decipher the answer. If you are successful you'll be able to add your team's name to a leader board. The last couple of years our group has split up into three teams and there's a small competition on who can achieve 100% completion first. Let's just say Mom and Dad are back-to-back champs. Our visit this year came early so we opted out of getting our pumpkins here this year but we have purchased them from the farm before. This is a five star venue. It great for people of all ages. Small kids will not want to leave all of the fun activities outside the maze! The atmosphere is exactly what you need for a Fall day in Wisconsin.”

“They are not kidding about the lack of cell service! Our GPS worked fine, but that was it until we left and got back to Lodi. Overall, it was really a great way to spend an afternoon for the whole family. Parking was easily accessible (and free), all the different areas were well-marked, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The corn maze was a good time, and there was plenty of other things for people who didn’t want to participate in that one to go do. They also have a large section of picnic tables, so seating is plentiful and has a good view of the larger children’s play areas (of which there are several). We did find it helpful to buy our tickets ahead of time on their website. You can save the QR code to your Apple wallet (I assume android as well), and scan one for your entire party, which speeds everything up. You can also buy vouchers for pumpkins ahead of time, though we didn’t do that this year. They have a huge variety of pumpkins, both in size and type, and you and choose from prepicked or go up to the pumpkin patch behind the maze.”

“Great fall activity for couples and families. The corn maze was very intricate and there were different puzzle challenges you could do along the way. The farm itself is very clean, interactive and great example of agricultural tourism. There is plenty of parking across the highway (with a tunnel under ground to walk to get to the farm). There are horses, pigs, goats and two very sweet dogs. There is a "sand box" made entirely of corn, hay bail fort, natural playground (made of logs), a trail to a great look out over a "clif," and pumpkin patch. It is a great operation and would definitely go again. Pro tip: buy your tickets online to save a lot of money at the gate and print off the tickets to secure the QR code as there is limited/no wifi out there.”

“The day we went it was raining, so the paper maps were disintegrating in our hands as we tried to find our way around 🤣. We spent about an hour, completed the main objectives and only found two of the bonus spots. So, maybe plan for 2 or more hours if it's not raining. It's not too challenging, to get the main objectives but the bonus is tougher! Love the quality designs of their mazes, so creative and educational! 😍 You get a cute, corny little sticker if you do the bare minimum like us. Lots of little activities besides the corn maze to do too. Slides, corn box (instead of a sand box)! They do accept card payment. Overall a good way to spend a few hours with kids/friends.”

“This place is so cool. I know the corn maze was fun for my older children. You can get prizes for completing it. My younger children loved playing in the corn bin and petting the horses. I'm still finding corn around my house from where it dropped out of their clothing and shoes. There's a tire playground, slides, a shaded picnic area, outhouses, and plenty of places to wash hands. The honey they have for sale is delicious! Their barn is a great place to sit quietly in the hay or play on the giant spiderweb. And, of course, they loved feeding the goats. It's worth a family visit!”

“This is the best in the state! Some much fun for the family. You should not miss out on this awesome experience. Everything from the traditional pumpkin patch, horse pulled carts add to the experience to games everywhere. Plenty of space for the kids to run their energy out. The corn maze is second to none. This year we actually found all 10 secret spots! There are petting areas, climbing and running space, slides, pumpkin launcher. I could continue but you should go and add to this review. You will not be disappointed”

“I enjoyed the experience of having time to stand around and observe the animals in addition to getting to feed them. Did enjoy watching horses eat pumpkins for a good 30mins+. 🧠🤣 play something very satisfying about watching these massive horses chow down and pumpkins that would normally go to waste”

“My first time at a corn maze and it was so much fun! A lot of activities for both kids and adults. There is even a food truck. Employees were all so friendly.”
