What you can pick

In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Virginia, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Virginia.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: American Express, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“Fantastic!!! Picking berries with my kids is so much fun. Steve is very knowledgeable about all of the varieties of berries and is so helpful. It took only a few minutes to pick a LOT of berries, all of which are super sweet and tasty. The price is very reasonable, and the short drive from town is well worth the amazing berries. I'm happy to support a local business and give my money to Steve for some fabulous berries instead of paying a grocery store chain (for berries that have been shipped across the country in a truck and don't taste nearly as good)!”

“Such a fun time... met Steve who showed the orchard, and away you go. Picked for about 45 minutes and ended up with nearly 4 pounds of yumminess! Fun to do, local, fresh, and just fun to do for the day. Great host and plenty of parking. Not busy at all on Tuesday .. Will come back next year for more!”

“Delicious, abundant blueberries, friendly people, and a beautiful location. Good for kids - my toddler is always excited to go run around and help with tasting berries. We'll go as often as we can while the season lasts!”

“I took my family here to pick pounds of organically grown blueberries. It was a fun trip and the owner, Steve, couldn't be nicer. The blueberries are perfect and we're looking forward to incorporating them into our food.”

“A lovely, welcoming small PYO farm, in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Great for children, as well. Many weeks of delicious fresh berries every summer. My whole family enjoys our trips there!”
