Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Well! You know what, if you come at night late, I didn't get charged an entrance fee and I had a great time just being on a lovely fair ground in the country with fresh air and the crickets chirping. Some old fashioned carnival games to play, a good bite of food for a snack to enjoy, and a twirl on a couple of rides. Some photo's for a Sweet Memory! Priceless for me.”

“Has a lot of fun at the festival. The amount of food vendors is just crazy, the smell of smoked meats, fried dough and green gyro meat was enough to make me down in my saliva. We went to see the band Fever who were just over the top amazing! The rides for the kids were too much to list, great pop price too. All the organizers made getting in and out very easy.”

“Every year we wait for the strawberry festival. We love it. We have a great time as a family here. We went on Wednesday. I tried to get back before closing on Father’s Day on Sunday and didn’t make it. They were open from Wednesday to Sunday only. They are now closed. I wish they would do a full week.”

“Not very strawberry themed but we had lots of fun so who cares. They did sell strawberry pie, strawberries, and strawberry daiquiris. Very family friendly. All staff were super nice and helpful.”

“Not the type to ever leave anything negative unless it’s warranted. Where to begin. Food is insanely over priced and disgusting. Wish I remembered the name of the vendors. $22 for a spoon full of pulled pork with plain noodles and a nacho cheese sauce. $35 for a bracelet where if your child isn’t tall enough to go on the rides by themselves as an adult you have to purchase another $35 bracelet to accompany your kid on a child’s ride. Safe to say my family and I will never give this rip off of a place a dollar ever again. On top of having to pay a $10 entry fee per adult and a “donation” to park in the lot. What a joke of an experience. I hope I save a family some $ to use somewhere else.”
