What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for New York, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Payment notes on file: American Express, Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“My wife and I had a fantastic visit to Patty’s Berries and Bunches, where we picked fresh blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. The farm also offers a beautiful selection of flowers for sale. The highlight was definitely the ice cream stand, which serves the best ice cream I’ve ever had, made from the farm’s fresh produce. We enjoyed our treats in a shaded area with plenty of tables and had fun playing outdoor games like cornhole. Overall, Patty’s Berries and Bunches is a charming place with delicious homemade ice cream, fresh produce, and a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a fun and relaxing day out.”

“Patty made our wedding dreams come true! I was nervous about working with a farm instead of a traditional florist who provides mock-ups, but I shared my vision with Patty and she absolutely ran with it. She understood exactly what we wanted and created arrangements that were even more beautiful than we imagined. I had a big vision when it came to my tablescapes, and she worked incredibly hard to bring it all to life... the photos truly speak for themselves! Most importantly, her pricing was extremely reasonable. I cannot recommend Patty enough!!”

“Patty’s Berries and Bunches did my daughters wedding. I can't say enough how amazing the flowers were. She made our vision a reality and made it even better. We were extremely happy with every arrangement she made. The flowers were so beautiful. She was able to make the wedding magical. Her prices are extremely reasonable. For what we got I was surprised at the low cost. I would recommend her 100 times over. She is seasonal so if you are lucky enough to get her she did an incredible job.”

“Had a beautiful time with the family here. It was honestly so fun to pick blueberries. They charge $7 bucks a container and the experience is worth it... the blueberries taste great!! They also had beautiful bouquets of flowers which definitely catch your eye and local honey to buy!”

“We visited Patty’s Berries & Bunches today around 4:40 PM as a family of 5 for the strawberry u-pick experience. At the entrance, we were told it was $10 per container, but the per-person requirement was not clearly explained upfront. We have 3 adults and a 3 years old girl and a 7 year old boy. We planned to buy 3 containers but they required we buy 5. Not very comfortable but we still paid $50 to enter. Once inside the field, the experience was very disappointing. There were very few strawberries left, and many were already overripe or unusable. As a group of five, we carefully walked through the entire accessible field, but still could not fill even one container. We also noticed that the strawberries that were available were not very sweet and lacked flavor, which added to the disappointment. They also said they will close at 5:30pm, at the time we walked out it was around 5:20pm with only one not very full container of strawberries. When we brought this up and asked if we could exchange our empty containers for pre-picked strawberries, we were refused any refund or exchange. The older blonde woman working at the front was incredibly rude. The way she talk is harsh, mean and angry. During the conversation, we were told it was “like you bought the movie ticket, you don’t like the movie but the theater will not refund,” and were also repeatedly questioned and indirectly accused of not trying hard enough or not walk the whole strawberry field— even though we clearly explained that we had already gone through the entire strawberry field to where we can’t proceed any more. Eventually, after a long and uncomfortable discussion, we were reluctantly given 4 containers of pre-picked strawberries. What was most disappointing was not only the lack of available strawberries and quality, but also the tone and attitude during the interaction, which felt dismissive and unfair. Overall experience: * Very limited strawberries late in the day * Strawberries not very sweet / low flavor quality * Lack of clear pricing explanation * Poor customer service and dismissive attitude. We’ve done many strawberry picking farms on Long Island and North Fork, but this was definitely one of the most disappointing experiences. I will not return or recommend this place to anyone. The poor yield and low quality of the strawberry made it impossible to pick enough, and we were made to feel humiliated for it.”

“I wanted to have a great experience here, but the customer service was absolutely unacceptable. I came here with my wife and 4 year old daughter to pick strawberries, and the older lady with a hand brace handling the baskets at the entrance gave us a massive attitude after we asked just two simple questions. She even surprisingly snatched the baskets right out of my wife’s hands. Truly "berry" disgusting behavior. Believe it or not, we still paid to pick the strawberries because my daughter was looking forward to it. As soon as we paid, the older lady magically turned nice. It’s incredibly sad to see how nasty people can be for no reason. I would never hire an employee like this for my own business. Regardless of who the customer is, you never judge them or treat them with such disrespect. Management seriously needs to address their customer service training, because first impressions matter, and a front facing employee shouldn't need to see your wallet before deciding to treat you with basic human decency.”
